Pillow Case dresses!!! July 11, 2011

I like to say that I am a “suzy homemaker”  I see crafts and cute things and instead of thinking “I’d like to buy that!”  I say “I think I can MAKE that!”  So one day while looking at a local boutiques’ website I came across these cute pillowcase dresses that she is selling and I immediately began to research what I would need to begin making them!  So here is some of my final projects.  They have progressively gotten better, my first was pretty pitiful and my last was pretty cute!

Easter bunny cakes! April 22, 2011

This was my very first attempt at making an Easter Bunny cake.  I had to do a little online research and found that it was “fairly”‘ simple.  I delicately cut out the ears for my “girl” bunny and then moved on to another project.  I then look up and discover the tip of the bunny’s ear missing and my 4 year old chowing down on it… I said ” what are you doing!!!?!”  He was just like “I cut me a piece mom”  Too cute, (not at the moment though) !  I was able to fix it and here is the finished products.

Our first vegetable garden! April 19, 2011

After being on our own and 6 years of marriage, my husband and I have finally decided to be self-sufficient! Every year we patiently await the kind individuals, such as my parents,  who are willing to share their harvest.  This year we have decided to take action and reap the rewards of our own hard earned labor.  I’ll keep you posted with pics soon!

Update on Garden!!

Our garden has been such a success!  I made the statement that the vegetables taste so much better when they are free!!  And the best part is.. we have been able to bless our friends and family with our produce just like they have for us so many years!  What an accomplishment
